I’m 81 and just got a motorised scooter. Last Thursday I was driving it back to my car and got trapped at the end of a narrow pathway. There was no dropped kerb. I couldn’t turn round and couldn’t go forwards, so I had to start trying to reverse all the way back along the path. I was terrified I would reverse off the path and tip over down the high kerb into the road. This young man came along and saw I was in trouble. He calmed me down and helped me reverse back along the path. I didn’t thank him properly because I was in such a state. I would love to send him my thanks.
