My mum and dad were climbing Roseberry Topping when my mum slipped and hurt her ankle. A young couple on holiday from France helped her hobble back down to their car and gave her coffee from their flask. She can’t remember their names but they were from Brittany and staying in Durham. I would love to thank them for being so kind.

My heartfelt thanks go to all the staff on Ward 2, who performed miracles when my dad was in hospital. He’s well now, home again, and we will never forget your kindness and care in those dark days. You are all amazing people. Thank you so much.
